The INNOÀPAT community was approved in 2016 in the first call for RIS3CAT Communities and was created with the aim of increasing the level of investment in R&D of Catalan agrifood companies, in order to improve their competitiveness in the market, placing the consumer in the center of this process of innovation. The consumer demands products that contribute to a healthier standard of living, as well as safer and more environmentally friendly products.
IRTA is the coordinator of the RIS3CAT food community INNOÀPAT a project that has been co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with a grant of € 168,675.33 approved by ACCIÓ.
The coordination team acts as the administrative manager of the community, being the contact between ACCIÓ and the participants and supporting companies to keep up-to-date on new trends in the sector. Is for this reason that the coordination team disseminates information about the agrifood sector in social networks or through e-mail and has elaborated a newsletter of financing opportunities that is published every two weeks, among other externalization activities such as organization of conferences, seminars or inspiring forums.
